Patient capital.
Principled stewardship.

Exentia is a privately held investment holding company headquartered in Riga, with long-term participations in operating businesses across Europe.

We back enduring businesses, in unspectacular sectors, with the kind of capital that doesn't ask to be repaid in five years. We measure our holding period in decades, not quarters.

Our approach

Four principles. One philosophy.

We are deliberate in everything we do — from the businesses we partner with to the time we give them to grow.

02 — Selectivity

A narrow circle of competence.

We invest only in sectors we understand deeply. When in doubt, we pass. The cost of saying no is always lower than the cost of being wrong.

03 — Alignment

Operators and owners, aligned.

We back management teams who think like owners. Our role is to provide capital, perspective, and patience — not to second-guess people closer to the work.

04 — Discretion

Quiet by design.

We do not seek attention. The companies we work with do not need a press release every quarter. Compounding happens away from the headlines.

05 — Resilience

Built to weather.

Conservative balance sheets. Diversified holdings. No reliance on third-party leverage. We prepare for cycles in the way prudent stewards always have — by assuming they will come.

Areas of focus

Sectors we understand.

Our portfolio reflects deliberate concentration in industries with durable demand, manageable complexity, and meaningful operating leverage.

Business Services

Specialised services with recurring revenue, embedded customer relationships, and operational complexity that protects against commoditisation.

Long-term ownership

Logistics & Mobility

Last-mile distribution, fleet operations, and adjacent infrastructure across European markets where execution discipline drives margin.

Operational stewardship

Technology & Software

Enterprise tooling, automation infrastructure, and applied artificial intelligence in B2B contexts. Selective, focused, durable.

Patient capital

Education & Human Capital

Vocational training, certification, and workforce development. Sectors at the intersection of public mandate and private execution.

Mission-aligned
Sustainability

Stewardship is the original sustainable practice.

Long-term ownership is, by its nature, sustainable ownership. A business held for thirty years cannot externalise costs onto the future — because that future is ours too.

The patient capital thesis.

Short-termism is the root cause of most environmental and social externalities in modern business. When capital demands an exit in five years, the incentives to invest in lasting infrastructure, train workforces, or honour supply-chain commitments collapse.

Our holding period horizon — measured in decades — aligns our economic interests with the things sustainability frameworks ask companies to consider anyway: human capital development, supply-chain integrity, environmental stewardship, and community trust.

We do not publish glossy ESG reports. We hold our portfolio companies to standards we would expect of our own children: behave honourably, invest in your people, take care of the places you operate, and tell the truth in your accounts.

PILLAR I

Environmental

Our portfolio companies are encouraged to invest in operational efficiency, electrification of mobility assets where viable, and energy partnerships aligned with the EU's 2050 climate framework.

PILLAR II

Social

We invest in vocational training, fair employment practices, and apprenticeship pathways. The skills our portfolio companies develop in their teams remain in the regions where they were created.

PILLAR III

Governance

Conservative balance sheets, transparent reporting, and a clear separation between ownership and operations. Our portfolio companies follow EU governance standards as a baseline, not a ceiling.

Governance

Structure and oversight.
